Wire Binding supplies are based into 3 categories:

►3:1 wire which has 32 holes or loops (either round or square) on the binding side of an 11" sheet and sized from 3/16" - 9/16". The maximum width for a 3:1 document is 9/16" which corresponds to approximately 125 sheets of 20 lbs. copy paper.

►2:1 wire has 21 holes or loops (either round or square) on the 11" side. Sizes start at 1/4" and continue to a maximum of 1 1/4" or approximately 225 sheets of 20 lbs. copy paper.

►19 Loop wire binding is punched with the same punch as comb binding - 19 rectangular holes. The sizes available are 1/4" to 1".
