Hydroxy Crème is loaded with alpha hydroxy acids.
Alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) are mild acids that occur naturally in many
foods. The acids include citric acid (from fruits like grapefruit,
orange and lemon), maltic acid (from apples), tartaric acid (from
grapes), lactic acid (from milk), and glycolic acid (from sugarcane).
When used on the skin, AHAs enhance the skin's natural exfoliation
process. AHAs help to loosen and remove the outer layer of dead skin
cells, revealing newer, smoother cells that lie underneath. Circulation
is improved and new cell growth is stimulated. This process is
especially important for African Americans whose skin can begin to
appear ashen and gray if the old skin is not sloughed off. The
resulting fresher, healthier complexion looks brighter and has reduced
pore size. Our Aha! Alpha Hydroxy Crème combines the well
known effects of Alpha Hydroxy Acids with moisturizers like Aloe
Butter, Mango Butter and Shea Butter. Excellent for use as a night
cream.

This product contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) that may increase your
skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of
sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this
product and for a week afterwards.

For most skin
types, wash face in the morning and before retiring. Oily skin types
can wash up to three times per day, but no more.
- Step 1 Cleanse Face
- Wet face with warm water
- Apply a little cleanser to the palm of your hands or to
soft cotton washcloth
- With fingertips or soft washcloth, gently wash face
using circular motions
- Wash for approximately 30 seconds for dry skin, 60
seconds for normal skin and 90 seconds for oily skin
- Rinse well with tepid (not hot, not cold) water
- Step 2 Tone with a HumiNature Toner
- Step 3 Moisturize with a HumiNature
